Making orphan sponsorship last forever
Sponsoring an orphan can change or even save a life. But since it depends monthly or annual payments, orphan sponsorship is vulnerable to financial hardships of the sponsor.
But there’s a unique way to safeguard this precious sponsorship – sponsoring orphans via waqf. You give what you would normally be willing to spend to support orphans – maybe it’s £30 or maybe it’s one large annual donation – and we pool it with other donations.
Instead of taking your charity and giving it straight to the orphan, we invest it, using only the profit to provide orphan sponsorship. We also use 10% of your profits and reinvest it into another property, so the amount of charity you’re giving actually increases every single year.
The Prophet ﷺ said, “Whoever embraces an orphan of two Muslim parents by feeding him and giving him drink until he is independent of him, Paradise will certainly be necessary for him.” (Hadith Ahmad)

When you sponsor via waqf, stability is built in. Your donation continues to impact orphans forever, regardless of whether you ever donate again. No matter your circumstances, the child is never left without help.
How does the sponsorship work exactly?
Your charity – and the profit from the joint investment – is pooled. At first, collectively all supporters of the orphan waqf help one child – supporting the costs of their food, shelter, medicine, and school supplies. As support grows and one child turns 18, another child becomes sponsored, continuing the impact – and your blessings – forever.
Since we reinvest 10% of profits, slowly, we’re able to begin supporting more and more orphans. In 50 years, a donation that supported just one child in its first year would grow to support 4 orphans simultaneously – that’s through reinvestment alone, without any extra donations.
