Qurbani waqf

Qurbani waqf
123456123456

Your £2,000 works harder than a lifetime of annual giving.

The average qurbani sacrifice in the UK costs £150 to £200. If you’ve been giving for ten years, you’ve already spent over £1,500. In fifteen years, you’ll have passed £2,000.

Every year you give your Qurbani, it is sacrificed, distributed and then complete. Gone, with no continuation.

When you give your Qurbani via our waqf model, your profit ensures you give Qurbani every single year. The cost of a Qurbani share is set at £2,000 to ensure your Qurbani is fulfilled from the very first year.

And unlike annual giving, a Qurbani endowment continues without any input from you. One donation and your Qurbani is covered for life — automatically, every Eid, without fail.

Each year, we direct it to where the need is greatest. One year it may help families in Sudan; the next it could help a community in Gaza. Wherever the need is greatest, your sacrifice goes.

This is not an ordinary Qurbani

Your donation works differently here.

Your donation works differently here. Typically, charities spend your money soon after donate. The Waqf Fund is different; we never spend what you give. Instead, we invest it and only the profit is used for charity, ensuring your donation provides help (and blessings) year after year. This is not an ordinary Qurbani – this is Qurbani forever.

When you donate a waqf share today, it’s pooled in a Sharia-compliant fund. After one year, the profits on your charity will provide a full Qurbani sacrifice.

If you wish, you can also choose to donate a typical Qurbani this year for £26, ensuring your Qurbani is sorted this year and every single year – simply check the box to give Qurbani in 2026 at checkout.

Today! You donate a £2000 share

Your waqf certificate is issued immediately. Your endowment is registered in our secured, property-backed asset base. Your donation is never spent; only invested.

It is invested

Your donation is pooled and invested in a Sharia-compliant, low-risk property, with an average 7% annual returns.

Qurbani is performed

After one year, you’ve grown enough profit to perform your Qurbani. We identify the country most in need that year — and that is where your sacrifice is carried out and distributed.

Qurbani every single year

We perform Qurbani on your behalf every single year. After your lifetimes, we continue performing the sacrifice, but it is considered a Sadaqah Jariyah, benefiting you in the grave and the hereafter.

What support will I provide?

Our projects are delivered in partnership with Human Appeal who have over 35 years’ experience of carrying out Qurbani sacrifices. Each year they:

1314

Carefully inspect farms ahead of time

Select only well-cared for animals, in compliance with Islamic requirements

Follow all restrictions of the slaughter, such as protecting animals from seeing the sacrifice.

Package and distribute the meat within the days of Eid al-Adha

A flock of sheep in a green field — the animals on which Qurbani is performed.
Why direct your waqf to Qurbani?

The first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah are the best in the entire year.

Set your intention for your Qurbani and reap the rewards of these powerful days.

1

The month of obedience and sacrifice

The blessed month of Dhul Hijjah reminds us of the obedience, and sacrifice of Ibrahim (AS)

2

The story of Ibrahim (AS)

After a lifetime of longing for a child, Ibrahim (AS) was asked to sacrifice his beloved son Ismail (AS), for the sake of Allah. But Allah spared Ismail at the last minute, and a ram was sacrificed in his place.

3

Honouring the sunnah every year

Each year, we honour that sacrifice, continuing this sunnah and provide nourishing meat to vulnerable families, many of whom only get to taste meat once a year.

Dedicate your waqf to Qurbani, spread joy at Eid, and reap the blessings of this obedient act of worship.

Why you should entrust your Qurbani Waqf to us

We understand that handing over a lifelong commitment takes trust. Here is why donors choose us.

15
Backed by Human Appeal

The Waqf Fund is new. Human Appeal is not. With 35 years of verified delivery, they are one of the UK’s most trusted Islamic charities and they deliver every qurbani for us.

16
Sadaqah Jariyah after death

No reminder. No annual decision. No forgetting. Your qurbani is performed every Eid and when you pass, it becomes a continuous act of worship in your name.

17
A certificate in your name

You receive a formal waqf certificate, an Islamic endowment document registering your name as the founder of a perpetual sacrifice. Your legacy, made tangible.

18
£3M+ in secured assets

We already hold over £3 million in waqf property assets with 3 properties shown publicly. Your endowment joins something real, not an idea or a promise

19
Built to beat inflation

As the cost of living rises, so does the cost of qurbani. The 10% reinvestment means your waqf keeps up no matter what happens to prices, and your qurbani is never at risk.

20
Qurbani that follows need

Your qurbani doesn’t stay in one place. It travels to wherever the need is most acute reaching communities you may never have heard of, at the moment they need it most.

We would rather you asked everything.

Because the waqf model works through investment, not spending. Your £2,000 must be invested first, and the profit from that investment is what funds qurbani. This is not a delay, it is the mechanism that makes “every year, forever” possible. A charity that spends your money immediately can only give once. We invest it and give from the profit every single Eid insha Allah.
A waqf qurbani share cannot be divided under Islamic endowment principles. A full sacrifice must be funded as a complete unit. The £2,000 is sized to generate enough annual profit to fund one full qurbani every year. Consider: the average UK Muslim spends well over £2,000 on qurbani across their lifetime. This is significantly less and paid once, returned every year, protected against inflation, and continuing as Sadaqah Jariyah after your death
The Waqf Fund was established in 2023. Human Appeal was established in 1991. Every qurbani we perform is delivered through Human Appeal’s verified, 35-year operational infrastructure. We already hold over £3 million in secured property assets — your endowment joins a fund with real, tangible value. We are new as an organisation. The foundations we stand on are not.
Of every year’s investment profit: 80% funds your qurbani, 10% is reinvested to grow the endowment, and 10% covers the operational costs of maintaining the waqf. We publish this split openly because we believe you deserve to know exactly how your endowment works.
Every donor receives confirmation that their qurbani has been performed. The full picture including the countries chosen, the reasoning, and the communities reached is then published in our annual report each year.
It continues. That is precisely its purpose. Islamic waqf endowments were built to outlast their donors. Your qurbani will be performed every Eid after your death, in your name, as Sadaqah Jariyah.

Why does this waqf share cost £4,000?

From the very first year that your waqf begins generating profit, you’ll be helping someone regain their sight. In the first year alone, your Light of Sight Waqf share will fund one full cataract surgery, and by year five, your Waqf could be restoring vision for five people every single year.

This Waqf works differently from the standard £100 share. Instead of contributing towards a general pool, a £4,000 Light of Sight Waqf share delivers an entire project on its own – one complete cataract operation in its very first year, with its impact growing year after year through perpetual reinvestment.

If you’d like to be part of this Waqf but aren’t ready to fund a full £4,000 share, you can still donate any amount. Your contribution will be combined with others to support cataract surgeries.

To give any amount, simply enter your chosen value in the donation form.

Why direct your waqf to cataract surgery projects?

Blindness can devastate a family, robbing them of their livelihood, income, education, and independence. But when caused by cataracts, blindness is completely preventable and reversible. Across the world, 94 million people have moderate to severe visual impairments because of untreated cataracts. Between 15 and 20 million people have completely lost their sight, and 15 million sole providers for their families but have visual impairments because of cataracts.

Donating your waqf to our light for sight projects will return the sight of hundreds of people for years to come.
