Caring for someone’s akhirah is the deepest love
In our previous blog, we discussed gift giving for special occasions. This week, we’d like to talk about showing you care outside of celebrations, especially to celebrate achievements.
When it comes to family, and especially when it comes to children in the family, it’s important to recognise achievements, especially when they encourage Islamic behaviours. It’s so vital to instil from a young age the idea of a gift that isn’t capitalist, but that fosters an understanding of what is truly important – the hereafter.
That’s not to say that a child shouldn’t be rewarded with physical gifts for big achievements, but surprising them with the gift of charity in their name is a way to touch young hearts.
Has a child in your family been working hard on something they struggle with, learned a new surah, or passed an exam? Surprise them with the gift of waqf.

Gifting adults on their achievements
Your spouse, sibling, or parents will appreciate the value of your gift even more than most children will. Did someone get a promotion? Work hard to heal their weaknesses? Or achieve a goal they set themselves? Maybe you just want to say thank you to your parents. Mark your love and appreciation for your loved on – for a special achievement or even randomly – with the gift of a waqf.
Gifting a waqf
When you gift a waqf in your loved one’s name, you’ll receive a digital gift card that you can present them. A waqf shows that you don’t just care for them in this life, but you care about their hereafter to.
Since a waqf donation is never spent, your loved one will receive blessings every single year, even after they pass away.
How does it work?
Gift a waqf for a special occasion. At checkout make sure you click ‘in celebration’ and enter the name of your loved one.
Check out, and receive your gift certificate. Now your donation gets to work. We’ll pool it and invest it in a Sharia-compliant asset – most commonly a property to rent – and each year we’ll withdraw your profit to fund the projects you selected, all in the name of your loved one.
Did you know?
Whoever gifts charity on behalf of another also receives blessings for this beautiful act of kindness. Gifting doesn’t just feel rewarding – it is rewarding!
Show how much you care with a gift for the akhirah. Gift your loved one a waqf.
